What can I say
It was an unsubtle love
All teeth and tongue
And far flung references
To cool things.
Laughable, really. And yet
The memory of it
Makes me wake, years later
In a bed suddenly unfamiliar
In a stranger's body
I recognise as
A younger version,
A cooler person.
